Mahaveer Group expanding the product base
Mahaveer Group will be concentrating on switchgear and cabling equipment in approaching 4 months, in order to expand its product base. Mahaveer Group is a real estate developer based in Chennai.
One of the Managing Partners of Mahaveer Group, JS Shyaam told the concerned media authority about Group’s expansion plans. He told about the first showroom opening, where electrical cables and accessories will be the highlight along with Philips lighting.
The Chairman of Mahaveer Group, J Sumermal informed that the Group has invested almost Rs 1.2 crore in setting up the new facility centre which is a delivery and storage facility unit of Philips lighting products.
Mahaveer Group owned Mahaveer Electric Agencies has a network of more than 750 dealers in South India and it caters the needs of up to 250 industrial houses including Murugappa Group of Companies, Taj Group of Hotels, TVS Group of Companies, L&T Ltd., Integral Coach Factory and Hindustan Motors Ltd. Recently the Group joined hands with Mumbai-based architectural glass processor, Sejal glasses, which is a step towards its operations’ diversification.
During FY04-05, the turnover of Mahaveer Group was Rs 21.46 crore and the organisation is planning to increase it up to Rs 34.8 crore by the end of the running financial year, i.e. FY05-06.
The Chennai-based realty expert is also entering in the medical and healthcare sector as it established Mahaveer Orthopaedics Trauma and Sports Medicine (MOTS) Hospital at Kilpauk, where 25 patients can stay at once.
